Faculty

BTP’s diverse faculty is comprised of working artists who are also effective instructors. The BTP faculty, be it for 3 weeks or 12 days, is comprised of the ‘resident faculty’ or those who teach here for the entire length of the program, and our ‘guest’ or ‘visiting’ faculty members who fly in and teach for a shorter period of time. All of the directors instruct. During our longer, boarding session, our ‘resident life faculty’ members are the instructors overseeing the care of the apprentices in the evening after they have finished classes and rehearsals and are back at their room or apt. for the evening.

Broadway Theatre Project prides itself on the caliber of ability, discipline and artistry possessed by our faculty. BTP is unparalleled in bringing to its students the best training and guidance necessary in order to pursue a career in musical theatre. This faculty is adept at teaching while continuing to build a better Broadway and performing arts world everyday. Our residential life faculty members who work at our 3 week program help the students learn how to decompress at the hotel once the learning and rehearsal day has ended. Their goal is to encourage the apprentice who has finished the work day to become the young man or woman with a healthy outlook toward what has transpired thus far during this Broadway-based program. At Broadway Theatre Project, artists who are creatives or performers or both, describe how their individual roads are navigated while moving toward and through this chosen profession. This year, several artists will perform a few pieces from their repertoire. The students will have the opportunity to speak with their teachers (as there are many opportunities to do so) as their questions can be asked and answered quite frankly by those who have made a definite difference in the musical theatre arena.
