Merrick Henry

Merrick Henry knows what it means to put your whole self into your art whether it’s in dance, music, or portraying a character. He carefully mixes the imagination of out-of-the-box thinking and pragmatism together in order to execute anything he sets his mind to.

His unabashed spark for the art of performance finds its paternity in his love for theater. Graduating from Fitchburg State University, the role that has truly stayed with him the most was Billy in BTP’s production of Chicago when he was a young apprentice. After discovering BTP at KCACTF, developing life-long friendships through this production with fellow apprentices and staff, including Deb McWaters, has made this role the most rewarding of Merrick’s young career.

He is now primarily a music recording artist who draws inspiration from some of the biggest pop music acts in the world like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, and Michael Jackson to name a few. Taking class with Todrick Hall, one of the premiere music video artists in the world, was a truly inspirational moment.

He is a recent recipient of the Triple Threat Award at the Applause Rising Talent Showcase in Los Angeles in 2022. He is also a TAMY Award winning actor and has been nominated for a DASH Award as well. He is currently working on a brand new EP due out in 2024 and cannot wait to share his latest work through his songs.
