DAVE CLEMMONS
Dave Clemmons is the founder of Dave Clemmons Casting, which has cast over 100 Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Touring, and Regional productions. Some of the shows his company has cast include; Broadway productions: Brooklyn The Musical, The Boy From Oz starring Hugh Jackman, Dracula, Frank Wildhorn's The Civil War, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, and Ring Of Fire.
Off-Broadway: Altar Boyz, The Ark, and Bingo. Performing credits include: Broadway: Les Miserables (Valjean), The Civil War (Virgil Franklin), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Ben/Chauvelin), Jekyll and Hyde (the Bishop), Whistle Down the Wind. Regional: Evita (Che), Chess (Freddie). Recording credits: The Scarlet Pimpernel (Chauvelin), The Civil War (Virgil Franklin), Jekyll and Hyde (The Bishop).
Music/vocal direction or supervision: National tours Jekyll and Hyde, The Civil War Regional productions Little Shop of Horrors (The Alley Theatre), Terrance Mann's Romeo and Juliet (Goodspeed Opera House), Broadway Gospel Choir, Dave Clemmons Choir on The Today Show, the Bravo Network, Carnegie Hall and the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway. Dave lectures and teaches at at the nation's top music theatre training programs including Carnegie-Mellon U., Boston Conservatory, U. of Michigan, Cincinnati Conservatory, U. of Miami, U. of Tampa, Northwestern U., Florida State U. and Elon College.
Dave cast the singers for the new Julie Andrews concert tour and his upcoming casting projects include Jesus Christ Super Star starring Ted Neely, and Fiddler on the Roof starring Topol, with a developmental production of Grumpy Old Men The Musical, starring Christopher Lloyd, George Hearn and Carol Kane. Dave served as producer for the critically acclaimed New York Production of Bat Boy and An Intimate Evening with Frank Wildhorn and Friends starring Linda Eder and Douglas Sills. He recently conducted the Presidential Concert of the Civil War at the National Theatre in Washington, DC, starring Trisha Yearwod, Bebe Winans, Hal Holbrook, Avery Brooks, Maya Angelou and Clay Aiken.
