Darren Gibson began his ballet training at age 10 with the New Ballet School, associate school of Feld Ballets/NY. Darren was the first student from that school to join the company (known today as as Ballet Tech), serving as Ballet Master for seven years and dancing more than a dozen ballets created for him.

As a featured performer in both the New York Shakespeare Festival production and the Broadway revival of On the Town, directed by George C. Wolfe, Darren danced "The Lonely Town" pas de deux and acted as dance captain. He again played the dual role of featured performer/dance captain in the National and European Tours of the musical Fosse, where he has the opportunity of working directly with Ann Reinking, Debra McWaters and Gwen Verdon.

Darren later performed in London's West End production of Fosse this time as featured performer and resident director/ choreographer. Darren has staged ballets for Richmond Ballet and Boston Ballet and assisted Ms. Reinking on an original ballet for the American Ballet Theatre as well as the Broadway production of The Look of Love. Other NY credits include: City Center Encores: House of Flowers and No Strings! and the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. Darren was last seen on Broadway in Twyla Tharp's Movin' Out and returned to London's West End as dance supervisor for Movin' Out.
