Technical Director/Lighting Designer

Beau B. Edwardson is the Assistant Director of Events & Production Services for the College of The Arts at the University of South Florida. Over the past fourteen years, he has designed lighting and scenery throughout the Tampa Bay area. Recent regional design projects include: lighting design for Lysistrata & THIS WONDERFUL LIFE and Blithe Spirit at the American Stage Theatre Company. Lighting Designer/Technical Director for NYCB’s Principle Dancer Daniel Ulbricht and his annual production of Daniel Ulbricht & Friends an afternoon of high energy contemporary ballet.

Beau graduated from the University of South Florida, receiving the John L. Smith Excellence in the Arts Award and attended graduate school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In addition, he is the Technical Director/Lighting Designer for the Broadway Theatre Project. Working with Finelli Theatre Consultants, LLC he has designed lighting systems for local, national and international facilities. His company, Beau Visions Design, L.L.C has designed lighting on the national and international stage for dance, theatre, television and offstage with sculptor Janet Echelman. When Beau is not working on the stage, you can hear him as the voice of USF’s Herd of Thunder-Marching Band.
