ANNETTA MONROE
Vocal Faculty

 

Annetta is an Associate Professor at USF, and received her musical training from the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, the Mozarteum Academy of Music in Salzberg, Austria and Columbia University. Before joining the USF faculty, she performed as a concert artist throughout the U.S. and Canada. Annetta Monroe

 

She was a soprano soloist with the internationally famous Norman Luboff Choir and a featured soloist with the Oratorio Society of New York at Carnegie Hall. In California, Ms. Monroe was contracted as a studio artist for movie recordings with many studios including Universal, MGM, and 20th Century Fox.

 

She also recorded for Disney World the original It’s a Small World After All. While at USF, Ms. Monroe has performed as soloist with both choral and orchestral organizations throughout Florida and the Tampa Bay community including the Florida Orchestra, and the University of Miami, USF Orchestra and Chorus, and for many years a featured soloist for the School of Music Scholarship Concerts.

 

She is presently coordinator of voice at the University of South Florida. Ms. Monroe received the President’s Award presented by National Epicureans, Inc. for outstanding contributions in music. Her students are performing throughout the US and across Europe.
