ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNSHIPS

July 7 - August 2, 2010

Broadway Theatre Project offers administrative internships for college students interested in careers in arts management, or for those interested in increasing their knowledge of the administrative side of arts education.

Administrative internships at BTP provide the next generation of theatre professionals with the opportunity to serve as an integral part of the BTP administration, by working with BTP staff members on, artistic support, development, scheduling, show production, public relations, and student activities. Due to the ambitious nature of the Broadway Theatre Project session, internships are full-time and rigorous.

Depending upon the respective institution, BTP internships may satisfy the requirements for college credit, work-study, independent study, and/or cooperative learning programs. The internships are flexible and every attempt will be made to design each one with the goal being that necessary requirements will be met.

Onsite housing can be arranged at the University of South Florida. The price of room and board will be covered by BTP. Interns are responsible for all other expenses, including their transportation to and from Tampa. Those possessing other housing options are welcome to make their own arrangements. Interns living on campus will be required to follow the rules and regulations required by the Broadway Theatre Project.

BTP also offers a program for high school students living in the Tampa Bay area. These internships can be part-time or full-time, depending upon the student’s schedule. Broadway Theatre Project is a not-for-profit organization and community service hours can be arranged with high schools.

Interns will be chosen on the basis of experience, recommendations and an interview.
