Robert Dean Hertenstein

Robert Dean Hertenstein is the Senior Director of Entertainment Production for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. He oversees the entire fleet of 25 ships between three brands; Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas. Robert Dean is in charge of the creative and producing the onboard production shows which consist of show content to casting. He recently celebrated his 10 year anniversary with NCLH.

Prior to his current position, he had a 23 year career as a dancer. Some of the highlights are 42nd Street, where he got his Equity card at age 19, West Side Story as Riff, playing Steve in Blue’s Clues Live and Boots in Dora, The Explorer Live. His favorite theatre experience was Starlight Express in both the German and Las Vegas productions.

Robert Dean has also had the pleasure to sail around the world, literally, as a dancer on board, the Starward & Westward for NCL, the Rotterdam for HAL, and the QE2 for Cunard. He is thrilled to be a part of the Broadway Theatre Project with Deb McWaters. Robert Dean would like to send a huge thank you out to Deb as she has been a wonderful support through his career to today. They have even danced together back in the day!
