Peisha McPhee

Guest Artist

As an internationally renowned singer and as a vocal coach, Peisha McPhee knows the business from both sides. She has performed her critically acclaimed one-woman show throughout the US and Europe, and has appeared in theatrical productions including Showboat, Man of La Mancha, and Fiddler On the Roof, co-starring with theatre luminaries such Donald O’Connor and Davis Gaines. Peisha’s success as a performer has made her one of the most sought-after vocal coaches in the industry, as she brings real world, practical experience to her teaching. She not only trains students on how to sing, but also on how to properly perform a song and how to effectively audition.

As a vocal coach for Fox’s hit TV series American Idol, Peisha is responsible for helping contestants deliver their optimum singing performance onstage in front of a live national TV audience. She coaches contestants throughout the rehearsal process, helping them prepare mentally and vocally for each week’s competition. She is the proud mother of Idol’s Season 5 runner up, Katharine McPhee, a BTP graduate. Besides American Idol, Peisha has worked with singers from all walks of life and every age from 6 years old to 70 years young.
